The role involves interaction with underwriters, external counsel, and vendors in a fast-paced environment. The position requires native-level English, experience in commercial E&O or PI claims adjusting, and strong communication and organizational skills.

In turn, our competitive salaries, attractive benefits, and potential for career growth allow you to take on opportunity with confidence.Claims Adjuster – native EnglishDescription:As a Claims Adjuster, based in our Barcelona office, you will form part of a team, within our wider Financial Lines Claims team, focused on managing and analysing Commercial E&O and Professional Indemnity claims.Responsibilities (depending on level of experience):Adjustment of a portfolio of Commercial E&O and Professional Indemnity claims .Open and maintain claims files in electronic claims management system and ECF.Correspond with external stakeholders on claims developments.Monitor claims developments and report on them internally to management.Attend market meetings.Retain and manage external counsel, loss adjusters and other vendors.Set reserves.Negotiate settlements.Process payments.Identify and track claims trends impacting the book and/or wider market.Liaise with underwriting teams on individual claims, wording issues and claims trends.Participate in audits.Provide claims related training to underwriters.Speak at internal and external claims related events.Attend external talks and conferences.Travel for claims meetings, internal events, conferences and marketing events.Assist underwriters with the preparation of renewal presentations and pitches for new business.Requirements:Native level English.Commercial E&O or Professional Indemnity claims adjusting experience, gained either in-house or for a law firm or as a loss adjuster.Applicants with other relevant insurance industry or legal work experience considered.Familiarity with ECF and other London market practices and procedures.Profile:Strong communication skills, spoken and written.Effective time management and organizational abilities.Commitment to high client service standards.Ability to work well under pressure.A team player.A self-starter who thrives on proactively taking responsibility for claims outcomes..Interest in working within a culturally diverse and globally connected environment.#LI-AC1
