BBVA's Corporate & Investment Banking Risk Transformation area seeks a CIB Risk AI Champion to own the AI Portfolio and deliver measurable business value across risk domains.

You will drive AI strategy, prioritize self-service agents, and align with senior stakeholders to ensure governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance while partnering with CIB AI Transformation, Engineering, and GRM to execute strategic initiatives.

Formación

• 10+ years in Transformation, Strategy, or Engineering within CIB or Financial Services.
• 3–5 years leading AI, Advanced Analytics, or Digital Transformation in risk.
• MBA or CFA valued (desirable).

Working in close collaboration with CIB Business Units, CIB Engineering, CIB AI Transformation, and GRM, we design and deploy cutting-edge tools that optimize decision-making, boost technical efficiency, and ensure robust, comprehensive risk controlAbout the job:As the CIB Risk AI Champion , you will act as the Product Owner for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Portfolio within CIB Risk. You will hold direct accountability for delivering measurable business value and ensuring the long-term sustainability of deployed AI solutions.Your core responsibility will be to lead the AI strategy across the CIB Risk domain. This includes prioritizing the self-service agent portfolio, guiding developers and technical experts (Wizards), driving continuous governance, and executing top-down strategic initiatives in alignment with key senior stakeholders.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManagement and Prioritization of the AI Agent Portfolio (Self-Service):Evaluate potential use cases across CIB Risk domains.Define and defend strategic Business Cases for each AI initiative.Assess alternative technology stacks in partnership with Architecture and Data teams.Coordination and Leadership of \"Wizards\":Guide, coordinate, and supervise Wizards (technical leads responsible for building and maintaining self-service agents).Ensure technical developments directly align with operational business needs and Group quality standards.CIB Risk AI Portfolio Governance:Drive end-to-end governance of deployed AI solutions, ensuring continuous monitoring, management of operational/technology risks, and ongoing evolution.Guarantee adherence to ethical, internal, and regulatory standards regarding AI models and solutions.Top-Down Strategic AI Transformation Initiatives:Identify high-impact, cross-functional transformation opportunities across CIB Risk business lines.Spearhead the execution of strategic initiatives alongside key teams (CIB AI Transformation, CIB Engineering, etc.).REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSExperienceGeneral Experience: 10+ years in Transformation, Strategy, or Engineering within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), Financial Services Management Consulting, or Tech/AI Portfolio Management.Specific Experience: 3–5 years leading Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, or Digital Transformation projects applied to financial/corporate risk.EducationMaster’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.An MBA or professional financial certification (CFA, FRM) is highly valued.Technical & Business ExpertiseFinancial & Corporate Risk Management: Solid understanding of CIB products (M&A, Project Finance, Global Markets, Credit Risk, etc.).Technology & Artificial Intelligence: Deep knowledge of practical applications of AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, and self-service agent architectures.Business Case & ROI Definition: Proven ability to quantify ROI and financial impact for tech and AI initiatives.Model & Data Governance: Familiarity with AI regulatory frameworks, model validation, and tech risk control standards.Language SkillsEnglish: Advanced / C1-C2 (Essential for global operations and cross-border collaboration).Spanish: Professional / Fluent (Desirable, but not mandatory)Skills:Client Orientation, Empathy, Ethics, Innovation, Proactive Thinking
