A recruitment agency specializing in maritime roles is seeking a Chief Engineer for a dual-season charter yacht over 50m. This rotational role requires strong technical knowledge, preferably with experience on similar vessels. Ideal candidates will have Y3 certification and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. The position offers a competitive salary in Spain with a 2:2 rotation.

Formación

• Proven experience as Chief Engineer on similar-sized yachts or as 2nd Engineer on 50m+ vessels.
• Higher-level certifications advantageous.
• Able to assist in other departments when needed.

Responsabilidades

• Manage all yacht systems including engines and generators.
• Ensure smooth operations during charter season.

Burgess Recruitment is currently seeking a rotationalChief Engineer for a 50m+ busy charter motor yacht.

This is a hands‑on, rotational role on a busy dual‑season charter vessel, suited to a professional who thrives in a high‑paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum Y3 commercial yacht qualification; higher‑level certifications advantageous
• Proven experience as Chief Engineer on similar‑sized yachts, or as 2nd Engineer on 50m+ vessels
• Strong technical knowledge across all yacht systems, including engines and generators (Main Engines: MAN D2862LE446, Generators: Kohler 125EFOZDJ – 125kW VAC 3PH 50Hz)
• Team‑oriented, professional, and adaptable; able to assist in other departments when needed

Start: ASAP

Location: Spain

Salary: EUR 8250

Leave: 2:2 rotation
