Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a CATT Tester to join our team supporting an international bank in Spain. You will create, execute, and maintain automated test cases using CATT for Calypso Back Office modules, including settlements, confirmations, and SWIFT messaging.

You will collaborate with BO Analysts, review results, and drive quality through regression testing during Calypso upgrades, patches, and deployments. Strong English skills and a willingness to learn Calypso are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of capital markets and trade lifecycle concepts.
• Experience with Back Office processes in settlements and SWIFT messaging.
• Familiarity with software testing concepts: test cases, test plans, regression testing, defect lifecycle.
• Ability to write and read basic SQL for test data verification.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow structured test procedures.
• Strong English communication (written and spoken).
• Willingness to learn Calypso platform and CATT tool on the job.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/IT/Math or related field.
• Exposure to Calypso platform (academic or training).
• Experience with CATT or other automated testing tools (Selenium, UFT, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and execute automated test cases in CATT for Calypso Back Office modules.
• Execute regression test suites during Calypso upgrades, patches, and change deployments.
• Analyze test results, identify failures, and report defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Work closely with Calypso BO Analysts to translate requirements into test scenarios.
• Maintain and organize the CATT test library — ensure test cases are up to date.
• Participate in SIT and UAT cycles.
• Document test plans, test cases, test execution reports, and defect summaries.
• Support data preparation for test execution (trade creation, reference data setup, SDI configuration in test environments).
• Assist in reviewing CATT test results using available tools and reporting mechanisms.
• Escalate complex test failures to senior team members and track resolution.

We are looking for a CATT Tester to join our team supporting an international bank. The person will be responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining automated test cases using CATT (Calypso Automated Testing Tool) for Back Office modules within an existing Calypso production instance.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and execute automated test cases in CATT for Calypso Back Office modules (settlements, confirmations, accounting, SWIFT messaging)
• Execute regression test suites during Calypso upgrades, patches, and change deployments
• Analyze test results, identify failures, and report defects with clear reproduction steps
• Work closely with Calypso BO Analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into test scenarios
• Maintain and organize the CATT test library — ensure test cases are up to date and aligned with current BO configuration
• Participate in SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles
• Document test plans, test cases, test execution reports, and defect summaries
• Support data preparation for test execution (trade creation, reference data setup, SDI configuration in test environments)
• Assist in reviewing CATT test results using available tools and reporting mechanisms
• Escalate complex test failures to senior team members and track resolution

Skills

Must have

• Basic understanding of capital markets products (bonds, FX, interest rate swaps) and trade lifecycle concepts
• Basic understanding of Back Office processes: settlements, confirmations, accounting entries, SWIFT messaging
• Familiarity with software testing concepts: test cases, test plans, regression testing, defect lifecycle
• Ability to write and read basic SQL queries for test data verification
• Attention to detail and ability to follow structured test procedures
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Willingness to learn Calypso platform and CATT tool on the job
• University degree in Finance, IT, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Any prior exposure to Calypso platform (even academic or training)
• Experience with CATT or any other automated testing tool (Selenium, UFT, or similar)

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of SWIFT message types (MT103, MT202, MT300, MT540-MT548)
• Understanding of Calypso BO workflow concepts (task stations, trade statuses, lifecycle events)
• Experience with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, HP ALM, or similar)
• Basic scripting skills (Python, Shell) for test data preparation
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification or willingness to obtain it
