Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is seeking a Category Manager in Madrid to own end-to-end category strategy, define assortment, pricing, and in-app visibility to improve AOV and gross margin.

You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate yearly contracts, collaborate with Brand Ads, and ensure availability by working with Operations and Demand Planning, mentoring juniors as needed.

• 4+ years of experience as a category manager or buyer in FMCG/e-commerce.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to close supplier contracts.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actions.
• Excellent prioritization and time management for high-impact initiatives.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves in a fast-paced startup.
• Native-level Spanish and fluency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Own your categories end-to-end: define and execute the category strategy across assortment, pricing, and in-app visibility to drive AOV, gross margin, and category penetration.
• Build best-in-class assortment within our darkstores: identify opportunities, follow trends, manage product lifecycle, track and action underperforming products.
• Lead supplier relationships: negotiate yearly contracts, improve commercial terms, and secure funding for promotions and campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Brand Ads team to plan and execute in-store campaigns and promotions.
• Work cross-functionally with Operations and Demand Planning to ensure strong execution, availability, and positive customer experience.
• Oversee UX and Pricing of your categories.
• Support and mentor junior team members or interns.

Job Description

Own and grow your categories end-to-end, building a fast, reliable grocery experience in our darkstore supermarkets. You will define the assortment, shape the customer offer, and drive commercial performance-directly impacting how customers shop and how the business scales.

As a part of the team, you will:

Own your categories end-to-end: define and execute the category strategy across assortment, pricing, and in-app visibility to drive AOV, gross margin, and category penetration.

Build best-in-class assortment within our darkstores: identify opportunities, follow trends, manage product lifecycle, track and action underperforming products.

Lead supplier relationships: negotiate yearly contracts, improve commercial terms, and secure funding for promotions and campaigns.

Collaborate with the Brand Ads team to plan and execute in-store campaigns and promotions.

Work cross-functionally with Operations and Demand Planning to ensure strong execution, availability, and positive customer experience.

Oversee UX and Pricing of your categories.

Support and mentor junior team members or interns.

Qualifications

At least 4 years of experience as a category manager or category buyer, preferably in FMCG within an e-commerce environment.

Strong negotiation skills; you will have to close yearly supplier contracts and lead ad-hoc negotiations.

Analytical mindset: ability to interpret data, analyze reports, and translate insights into clear action plans

Strong prioritization and time management skills, with a focus on high-impact initiatives

Willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-performance start-up environment.

Native-level Spanish and fluency in English.
