A private yacht owner is seeking an experienced Captain/Engineer for a 29m motor yacht operating in the Mediterranean. You will combine navigation and technical management while leading a small crew to ensure a high-quality experience for guests. Ideal candidates will have proven experience on similar yachts and possess a Yachtmaster Offshore qualification. Competitive salary and supportive environment offered.

Position: Captain/Engineer (combined role)

Yacht: 29m private MY

Location: Western & Central Med

Crew: 3 (Captain/Engineer, Stew/Cook, Deckhand)

Guests: 2–8, private only

Contract: Full-time or seasonal

Start: mid-March/ by arrangement

Job Overview

Experienced Captain/Engineer required for a well-maintained 24m private motor yacht operating throughout the Mediterranean. The role combines safe navigation with hands‑on technical management of all onboard systems. You will lead a small, stable crew and ensure smooth operations and a relaxed, high‑quality experience for the owners and their guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe navigation, routing, mooring & anchoring
• Daily engineering checks and maintenance (engines, gensets, AC, hydraulics, watermaker)
• Crew management (Stew/Cook + Deckhand)
• Guest service coordination, tender driving & watersports safety
• Logistics: marina bookings, fuel/water bunkering, port paperwork
• Budget oversight, logbook, maintenance records

Requirements

• Yachtmaster Offshore (Commercial) or equivalent
• Proven experience as Captain on 18–30m yachts
• Strong engineering knowledge on small yachts
• Good knowledge of Med cruising grounds
• Professional, discreet, guest‑focused attitude
• Team player with leadership skills
