LHH is seeking a motivated IT Buyer in the Madrid area. You will help mature IT procurement, vendor management, and contract management to enable successful delivery of IT strategy. You will act as a change agent to adopt a new operating model, supporting cross‑functional teams and stakeholders across IT and Finance.

The role emphasizes end‑to‑end procurement governance, P2P execution, and supplier collaboration to achieve cost savings and high service quality in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in procurement, vendor management or contract management.
• Experience in IT procurement environments (SaaS, hardware, software licenses) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of vendor management, procurement, contract management, sourcing processes, and negotiation best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; Full professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end procurement and contract processes with stakeholders across departments.
• Manage Purchase-to-Pay transactions per local and global procedures.
• Handle contract management, including framework agreements, statements of work, renewals, and expirations.
• Support annual savings plans and forecasts with Finance and IT.
• Report sourcing activities and signed contracts in internal systems.

Job description

LHH, We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer. The client’s IT organization is in the process of maturing how it works with its vendors and stakeholders to drive the successful realization of its business and IT goals. As an IT Buyer, you will be pivotal to the success of the team by helping secure the implementation of new IT procurement, vendor management, and contract management approaches, driving the execution of key priorities, and supporting the client’s growth journey by enabling the successful delivery of its IT Procurement strategy. In this environment, the IT Buyer will play a key role as a change agent, facilitating the effective and sustainable adoption of the new operating model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control and monitor end‑to‑end process activities, from the initial contact with the internal stakeholder, coordinating with the various involved departments (sales, legal, IT security, data protection, etc.), to ensuring that the final contract is approved and signed, fully complying with established policies.
• Manage the transactions into the Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) process in line with local and global procedures, guiding key stakeholders through change management and proposing the necessary improvements to ensure adoption and process simplification.
• Contract management, including framework agreements, statements of work, contract renewals, and contract expirations.
• Provide and collect the necessary information to support the preparation of the annual savings plan and forecasts, in collaboration with the Finance and IT departments.
• Report sourcing activities and signed contracts in internal systems.
• Collaborate in local and global IT sourcing processes to ensure the delivery of goods and services with the required quality and a high level of cost avoidance and P&L savings.
• Create, maintain, and evaluate the vendor database.
• Ensure business‑oriented vendor management, as standardized as possible and supported by an appropriate solutions catalog.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, and/or contract management.
• Knowledge or experience within IT procurement environments (SaaS, hardware, software licenses, subscriptions, etc.) is considered a strong asset but is not mandatory.
• Good understanding of vendor management, procurement, contract management, sourcing processes, and negotiation best practices.
• Experience working with transactional procurement ERP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Procurement, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, Finance, and both local and global Procurement colleagues.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, contracts, and negotiations simultaneously.
• Note: Experience or knowledge in the IT sector is highly valued; however, candidates from other procurement backgrounds will also be considered.
