Job summary

Safran Navigation & Timing in Granada, Spain is seeking a Business Legal Counsel to join the Sovereignty Division of the Legal Department. You will handle contract law across sales, purchasing, partnerships, and R&T/R&D, serving as the Spain-facing legal contact for positioning, timing, and navigation equipment.

The role requires a Master’s in Business Law, fluency in English, Spanish, and French, and experience in an industrial international company, preferably aerospace/defense.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Law with a business school qualification preferred.
• Experience in a similar role within an industrial and international company (aerospace/defense preferred).
• Fluent in English, Spanish and French.

Responsibilities

• Contract management: drafting, analysis, negotiation and monitoring of contracts (sales, purchasing, partnerships, R&T/R&D).
• Drafting and updating contract templates.
• Support operational teams with regular legal training on contractual issues.
• Manage pre-litigation as the focal point of the Sovereignty Division in Spain.
• Keep abreast of legal developments and ensure contractual documents are compliant.

The Position

As business legal counsel you will be working within the Sovereignty Division of the Safran Electronics & Defense Legal Department, in the ONE PNT Legal Department, you will be involved in all areas of contract law and will act as the key legal point of contact in Spain for various operational functions dedicated to Positioning, Timing, and Navigation and Defense equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Contract management: drafting, analysis, negotiation, and monitoring of all types of contracts (sales, purchasing, partnership, R&T/R&D, etc.);
• Drafting and updating contract templates;
• Supporting operational teams: providing regular training and raising awareness on legal and contractual issues;
• Managing pre-litigation: supporting operational teams in the event of claims or pre-litigation as the focal point of the Sovereignty Division of the Safran Electronics & Defense Legal Department;
• Legal monitoring: keeping abreast of legal developments and ensuring that contractual documents are compliant;

What You Bring To Safran

• Holder of a Master's degree in Business Law, ideally coupled with a business school qualification, specialist in Spanish law.
• You have significant experience in a similar role within an industrial and international company (ideally in the aerospace/defense sector).
• Interested in operational activities, you are recognized for your responsiveness, adaptability, and organizational skills.
• You are autonomous with a strong team spirit.
• Your analytical and synthesis skills will be key to your success.
• Fluency in English, Spanish and French is required.
