Flight Centre Travel Group is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst in Barcelona to design and build dashboards using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. You will develop DAX measures, work with SQL, and translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

You will partner with data engineering and client teams, presenting findings and driving data-led decisions in a fast-paced environment. A strong focus on storytelling and AI-assisted analytics is required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in IS/CS/Business Admin or related.
• Advanced Power BI development with dashboards and data models.
• Strong SQL and DAX skills for data querying and modeling.
• Experience translating data into actionable business insights.
• Experience communicating with non-technical stakeholders.

Are you passionate about turning complex data into meaningful business insights? We're looking for a Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst to join a dedicated client-facing analytics team supporting one of our most strategic corporate travel clients. This role offers the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of Microsoft technologies, including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Copilot, and Claude, while partnering directly with stakeholders to shape business decisions through data. You'll join a globally distributed team led from the US, operating in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will have visible impact from day one.

The salary for this role is €50,000.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimise advanced dashboards and reports using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain DAX measures, calculations, and data models to support reporting requirements.
• Use SQL to query, manipulate, and manage data within relational databases.
• Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and Claude Code to improve development efficiency and accelerate insight generation.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques to enhance analytics workflows, reporting, and data interpretation.
• Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure reporting requirements align with underlying data structures.
• Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver impactful reporting solutions.
• Present findings, recommendations, and data-driven narratives confidently to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Identify trends, opportunities, and risks through detailed analysis of large and complex datasets.
• Build trusted relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders across multiple regions.
• Operate independently while managing priorities and delivering high‑quality outcomes in a fast‑moving environment.
• Support continuous improvement of reporting processes, data visualisation standards, and analytics capabilities.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a BI Developer, Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Advanced Power BI development experience, including dashboard design, data modelling, and visualisation best practices.
• Strong DAX development capabilities.
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric.
• Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience analysing large, complex, and fast‑moving datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience presenting insights and recommendations to clients or senior stakeholders.
• Exposure to AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Claude Code.
• Understanding of prompt engineering concepts and practical application within analytics environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data storytelling skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Experience within corporate travel or another high‑volume data environment is advantageous.
• Consultative client engagement experience is desirable.
