A leading crop protection company is seeking a Business Developer in Southern Europe to market innovative products and build networks. The role requires a degree in a related field, fluency in Spanish or Italian and at least 7 years of experience in crop protection. Business Developer – Innovations in Southern Europe

Do you have a proven track record in launching crop protection products and building strong networks in the agri‑sector? Are you fluent in Spanish or Italian and eager to bring innovative solutions to market? At Globachem, we’re looking for a Business Developer with deep roots in the crop protection industry to help us grow our footprint in Southern Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercialize Globachem’s own developed innovative crop protection products across South‑European countries.
  • Provide market insights, map competition and competing products.
  • Build a strong technical basis and transform technical knowledge into compelling use recommendations to support quick and convincing market adoption.
  • Lead pre‑launch initiatives and support distributors to ensure successful product introductions through demo trials, technical training and presentations.
  • Maintain a solid network of distributors, CRO’s, advisors and industry influencers in Spain and Italy, and develop such a network in other South‑European countries.
  • Coordinate annual trial plans to meet regulatory, crop safety, compatibility and sales requirements.
  • Represent Globachem at local congresses and symposiums.
  • Co‑select distribution partners and set pricing with the responsible sales manager.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from Sales & Marketing, R&D, Product Development, Regulatory and Supply Chain.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Agronomy, Bio‑engineering or related field.
  • At least 7 years of commercial experience in crop protection and experience in launching new products.
  • Native‑level fluency in Spanish or Italian; strong English proficiency. Other languages are a plus.
  • Based in South Europe (Spain or Italy) with flexibility to travel frequently to other South European countries or to headquarters in Belgium.
  • Strong communicator and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strategic, commercial approach in project management.
  • Hands‑on self‑starter driven by innovation, team player with a growth mindset.
