At Globachem, we're looking for a Business Developer Innovations with deep roots in the crop protection industry to help us grow our footprint in Southern Europe.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the commercialization of Globachem's own developed innovative crop protection products in the different South-European countries.
- Provide market insights, map competition and competing products.
- Build a strong technical basis and understanding about our innovations and transform your technical knowledge into compelling use recommendations to support a quick and convincing adoption in the market.
- Lead pre-launch initiatives and support distributors to ensure successful product introductions through demo trials, technical training and presentations.
- Be well connected with a solid network of distributors, CROs, advisors and industry influencers in at least Spain and Italy, and be capable of building such a network in other South‑European countries.
- Coordinate annual trial plans to meet regulatory, crop safety, compatibility and sales requirements.
- Represent Globachem at local congresses and symposiums.
- Alongside the responsible sales manager, select the distribution partners and set pricing.
- Work closely with your colleagues from Sales&Marketing, and also across other departments such as R&D, Product Development, Regulatory and Supply Chain.
- Be part of the Sales & Marketing department and report to the Business Development Manager at our Headquarters in Belgium.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Have a degree in Agronomy, Bio‑engineering or any related field.
- Have at least 7 years of experience in a commercial role in crop protection and experience in launching new products.
- Be fluent in Spanish or Italian (native level) and English.
- Other languages are a plus.
- Be based in South Europe (Spain or Italy) and be flexible to travel frequently to other South‑European countries or to the headquarters in Belgium.
- Be a strong communicator and have excellent negotiation skills.
- Apply a strategic and commercial approach in managing your projects.
- Be a hands‑on self‑starter driven by innovation.
