A leading retail organization is looking for a Business Controller to analyze the performance of their European Purchasing Center in Madrid, Spain. The role requires at least 3 years of experience in controlling or external audit, fluency in Spanish and English, and proficiency in BI and office tools like Excel. The selected candidate will actively contribute to negotiation objectives and assist in budget management.

Formación

In a transformation context of the Carrefour Group's Merchandise Purchasing (Eureca) structure for the 30 main National Brand suppliers (transition from a negotiation model from the local level to the European level), we are looking for a Business Controller.

Within the European Purchasing Center and attached to the new structure Director of Management Control, the Business Controller will contribute and participate actively in achieving the negotiation objectives through his / her role as a business partner and via the various analyzes that he / she will set up.

Main missions
  • Analyze the performance of the European Purchasing Center.
  • Nurrish and comment on the purchasing performance reports of the main National Brand suppliers at the G6 level (France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Poland and Romania).
  • Ensure the reliability of the information shared with negotiators, countries and the Group.
  • Enrich reporting and analysis statements to assist negotiators in their analysis of the suppliers’ activity.
  • Carry out ad hoc analyses at the request of negotiators, the Group or countries.
  • Participate with the accounting teams in monthly closings.
  • Participate in the control and securing of budget commitments.
  • Monitor the operating costs of the European Purchasing Center.
  • Feed internal dashboards.
  • Facilitate management cycles within the perimeter.
  • Participate in the development of the strategic plan.
  • Participate in the development of the annual and monthly budgets of the Central Purchasing.
  • Participate in the re-estimate of annual landings.
Requirements
  • Education: Business Administration, Economics.
  • Years Experience: At least 3 years of prior experience as a controller / external audit.
  • Languages: Spanish + English (both essential).
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in BI and office tools (Excel, etc.), analysis and synthesis capacities, rigor, organized and structured, autonomy, responsiveness and adaptability, and interpersonal skills.
