Role Summary
As Brand Manager for Consumer Health at DRL Spain / Portugal, you will lead the strategic development and execution of brand plans for the Nicotinelle portfolio. You will be responsible for driving brand growth, market share, and profitability in alignment with DRL’s mission to provide affordable and innovative healthcare solutions supporting our local partners.
You will report to Cluster Head Western and Southern Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement annual brand plans and long-term strategies for assigned products with local co-marketers.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and consumer insights.
- Share brand positioning from Global Marketing, messaging, and value proposition to your countries (adapt, translate… when required).
- Marketing Execution
- Co‑Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, retail, and healthcare channels.
- Collaborate with co‑marketers to brief media agencies.
- Support co‑marketers, creative agencies, and internal teams to develop or localize impactful promotional materials.
- Successfully manage product launches and lifecycle strategies in collaboration.
- Act as daily contact with co‑marketers; liaise with sales teams to gather field insights and ensure alignment.
- Gather field insights and competitor intelligence from reps to enhance performance.
- Track budgets and assist with PO creation and invoice processing.
- Maintain product documentation, marketing approval workflows, and internal portals.
- Track all advertising documentation according to internal regulatory process.
- Performance Management
- Build reporting template & monitor brand performance through KPIs (sales, market share, ROI, distribution).
- Create monthly reports and presentations for the cluster team on performance, market updates, and competitor actions.
- Analyze campaign effectiveness and optimize marketing spend.
- Prepare regular performance reports and strategic recommendations.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Supply Chain teams of Dr Reddy & Co marketer.
- Align brand strategies with commercial objectives and compliance standards, and global vision.
- Support training and engagement initiatives for field force.
- Propose local insights and feedback to French headquarters to influence broader strategy.
- Innovation & Portfolio Development
- Identify consumer trends and unmet needs to guide new product development.
- Contribute to portfolio expansion strategies in the Spanish market.
Qualifications
- Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in brand management within the pharmaceutical / consumer health industry (on OTC medicine).
- Creativity and innovation mindset.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management.
- Results‑driven and performance‑oriented.
- Adaptability and cultural awareness.
- Agility.
- Automony (will be the only CHC people within the EUG BU).
- Needs to master regulatory environment for drugs.
- Proven track record in launching and growing CHC brands.
- Strong understanding of Spanish healthcare and retail market dynamics.
- Experience in digital marketing and omnichannel strategy.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in Portugal business is a plus.
