RED, based in Madrid, seeks a BIM Coordinator to lead BIM strategy and production for data centre projects. You will coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams, set up BIM environments, and ensure models meet project requirements using Revit, Navisworks, Forma and AutoCAD.

You will liaise with project BIM Leads, deliver clash reports, and support continuous improvement in BIM workflows while maintaining high quality standards and timely delivery.

Formación

• Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) ideally MEP, or Master in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years' experience using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and BIM platforms in project environments.
• Proven track record of 3D modelling and coordination on construction projects in CAD/BIM MEP.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

We now seek a BIM Coordinator to be based out of our Madrid office.

Role Responsibilities

As a BIM Coordinator in RED, you'll be working with the latest technology available to develop the Data Centres of the future whilst having the opportunity to face exciting challenges that will help you grow and excel in your field.

Planning and Project Management

• Communicate project resourcing requirements as well as changes to tasks and workload by communicating with Project BIM Lead and BIM Manager.

Setting up BIM project environments

• Support the mobilisation process by assisting the Project BIM Lead on setting up CDEs, i.e. Autodesk Forma, folder structures, coordination spaces, model and drawing templates, 2d and 3d content, etc.
• Interpret and implement client requirements on project assignments.
• Coordinate with internal and external project teams to integrate BIM processes into project planning and execution.

Digital Production and Delivery

• Maintain communication channels with the Project BIM Lead, internal and external design teams, and coordinate internal and external BIM production teams accordingly.
• Produce and maintain BIM models, drawings, schedules, and specifications using Autodesk Forma, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Produce and maintain interrogation and coordination models including clash management activities and associated reports, fly-throughs, and other outputs using Autodesk Navisworks Manage and Autodesk Forma.
• Produce and submit agreed deliverables as per specialist design engineers’ specifications, company and industry standards, client requirements, and in accordance with the project programme.

Support

• Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM software and best practices.

Liaise

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.
• Work closely with the BIM leaders to input into training and development plans for all 2D and 3D modelling staff.

Meet

• Attend regular BIM coordination meetings and clash detection sessions with multi-discipline teams.
• Attend project meetings and presentations either in person or video-calls.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with client information requirements, industry standards, and company policies by auditing 2D CAD drawings and 3D models at project level.
• Ensure standards are upheld including file naming convention, attributes and values, Level of Information Need, Segregation and Federation, vendor’s and internal content compliance, materials, modelling and drafting standards, etc.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the BIM framework.
• Exercise straight forward technical and professional judgement using company policy, standards and procedures to guide actions and decisions.

Role Requirements

Essentials

• Grado en Ingeniería (o antiguas titulaciones de Ingeniería Técnica / Ingeniería Superior), or Master in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally MEP, or equivalent
• demonstrable experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of three years’ experience using Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, and Autodesk BIM360, ACC, or Forma in project environments.
• Proven track record of 3d modelling and coordination on construction projects within CAD/BIM MEP environments.
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong experience in Building Services Engineering. A sound understanding of mechanical, electrical and public health systems, engineering and general construction work.
• Ability to fully coordinate with architectural, structural and building services designs within a 3d modelling environment with outline instructions from the project engineers.
• Excellent knowledge of authoring software such as Autodesk Revit and Autodesk AutoCAD
• Excellent knowledge of coordination and interrogation software such as Autodesk Navisworks Manage, and CDEs such as Autodesk BIM 360, ACC, and Forma.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Sound understanding of civil, structural, and architectural (CS&A) models and drawings including construction, trade packages, multi-discipline coordination.
• Knowledge and working experience in the coordination and routing of mechanical, electrical and public health services, including air conditioning, heating and ventilation, pipework services, power containment, ICT containment, lighting services, drainage, fire services etc.

Desirable

• Hold relevant qualifications or certificates in UNE - EN ISO19650, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Significant experience working under UNE- EN ISO19650 or equivalent.
• Experience of working within a contractors drawing office (site based) producing coordinated construction/ installation workshop drawings using 3D modelling software.
• Experience in a global consultancy ideally with construction phase experience, Stage 0 - Stage 4, 5, and beyond.
• Proven track record in working with BIM Model management platforms / CDEs i.e. Autodesk BIM 360, Autodesk Forma, etc.
• Proven track record in the adherence to Project BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
• Proven track record in the adherence to company CAD/BIM standards and alignment to industry AEC standards.
• Strong experience in design of Data Centres.
• Strong skills in automating and scripting BIM tasks using Dynamo, PyREVIT, Autodesk Platform Services, SQL, Python, Java Script, etc.
• Sound knowledge of key Spanish regional, European or UK H&S issues and legislation.
• Previous experience of working in a global business.
