Americold in Barcelona is building a European Service Support Centre to deliver high-quality Finance support for our European operations. The Billing Associate role focuses on accurate invoicing, QA, and process improvements across billing activities.

Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese with English at an intermediate level supports collaboration with diverse teams. A hybrid work policy enables balanced office and remote work as we scale our European services.

Formación

• Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese; English at intermediate level.
• Bachelor's degree and/or finance qualifications
• Proven experience in billing, finance, or quality assurance role
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently and pro-actively

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre- and post-billing checks to ensure invoices go out on time.
• Review billing invoices for accuracy and customer agreement compliance.
• Conduct QA checks on billing data to spot discrepancies and errors.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or customer claims promptly.
• Collaborate with IT and finance to improve billing processes and systems.
• Develop and maintain QA procedures and docs.
• Generate reports on billing quality and metrics for management.
• Ensure adherence to billing standards and best practices.
• Participate in audits and compliance reviews of billing processes.

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Spanish & Portugues speaking Billing Associate to join our team in creating a new European Service Support Centre in the heart of Barcelona, Spain. The Center will deliver high quality Finance support services for Americold operations across Europe. By leveraging best practices and technology, we aim to create a collaborative environment that fosters growth and development. This role is critical to support Americold’s growth across all Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sets of pre and post billing checks to ensure invoices goes out in a timely manner (daily / weekly / monthly)
• Reviewing billing invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with what is agreed with customers.
• Conducting quality assurance checks on billing data to identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies.
• Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies (Customers claims) or issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with IT and finance teams to implement improvements in billing processes and systems.
• Developing and maintaining quality assurance procedures and documentation.
• Generating reports on billing quality and performance metrics for management review.
• Ensuring adherence to billing standards and best practices.
• Participating in audits and compliance reviews related to billing processes.

Key Qualifications

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese and (English - intermediate level)
• Ideally a bachelor's degree and/or Finance qualifications and training
• Skills:
  • Proven experience in billing, finance, or quality assurance role
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
