Making Science is seeking a Data Engineer to build end-to-end data workflows and robust ETL/ELT processes. You will design data warehouse structures and create advanced dashboards for internal stakeholders, enabling better business decisions.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in data roles, strong SQL, cloud exposure (GCP/Looker Studio), Python skills, and familiarity with Git, CI/CD, DBT, and Airflow. Flexible hours with remote day one per week are offered.

Formación

• 2–3 years of experience as Data Engineer or Data Analyst.
• Strong SQL skills and data warehouse development experience.
• Hands-on cloud experience, preferably GCP and Looker Studio.
• Proven dashboards in Power BI or Looker.
• Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• DBT and Airflow knowledge is a strong plus.
• Degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.

We work very close to the PMO department, which defines formal processes that combine all business systems tools.The daily tasks include choosing and adopting or designing and developing the tools that support the company business core. We also support the whole company in day-to-day operations regarding our tools and processes, including training when it is needed.

We do not manage only the different tools but the development of the integrations between the third-party cloud services we use. We are in a continuous innovation environment, searching for new systems that improve the Making Science software platform and managing project implementations.

What we’d like you to do

• Build end-to-end data workflows from raw ingestion to final business insights
• Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes using DBT and Airflow Design internal data warehouse structures and corporate datamarts
• Create advanced dashboards in Power BI or Looker for internal stakeholders and management
• Implement data quality controls and governance standards across our repository
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
• Apply software engineering best practices using Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies

What we’d like you to do

• Around 2 to 3 years of experience working as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst
• Strong SQL skills and solid experience in Data Warehouse development
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Looker Studio
• Proven experience building clear, actionable dashboards with Power BI or Looker Practical coding skills in Python for data manipulation and automation
• Experience using Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of DBT and Airflow is a strong plus
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
