Altia, a European IT consultancy, is seeking a BI Data Engineer to join our European team, focusing on data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud analytics for major projects.

You will design and implement EDWs and data lakehouse architectures, and data pipelines, collaborating with multi-cultural teams on international projects. Strong SQL and ETL/ELT, plus BI tool experience (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), are required, with fluency in English.

Formación

• Knowledge of EDW design, dimensional modelling, and star/snowflake schemas.
• Experience with data lake/lakehouse patterns (Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg).
• Strong relational database skills for data warehousing.
• Knowledge of non-relational databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Hadoop HBase).
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
• ETL/ELT tools experience (Informatica, Talend, dbt, Azure Data Factory).
• Modeling tools (ERwin, SAP PowerDesigner, ArchiMate).
• OLAP tech (SSAS, Essbase) and data mining tools (SAS Enterprise Miner, RapidMiner).
• CDC and near real-time ingestion (Kafka, Debezium, GoldenGate).
• Cloud BI architectures (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, AWS Redshift).
• Data governance/catalogs (Collibra, Alation, Azure Purview).
• Data observability (data freshness, lineage, anomaly detection).

Responsabilidades

• Create and maintain EDWs and Data Lakes/Data Lakehouses.
• Design modern BI architectures for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments with security compliance.
• Gather and analyse business requirements for data pipelines, storage, and reporting solutions.
• Design and implement modern ETL/ELT processes and orchestration with schema evolution.
• Implement data virtualization layers for unified access while optimizing performance and security.
