Job summary

InterContinental Barcelona is seeking a Banqueting Waiter/Waitress to deliver high-end F&B service in our luxury setting. You will greet guests, present the menu, take orders, and ensure flawless execution with attention to detail.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required, and prior luxury experience is essential. The role offers stable hours on-site, with opportunities for upsell and cross-department collaboration in a dynamic hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management or related field.
• 1+ years related experience in banqueting or F&B service.
• 5-star luxury experience is a must.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; other languages are a plus.
• Certifications or permits as required by local agencies.
• Oracle MICROS knowledge will be highly valuable.
• Flexibility to work afternoons, evenings and public holidays.
• Proactive, positive, energetic, team-player with passion for service.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm welcome for every guest and set the tone for the experience.
• Deliver outstanding tailor-made service and accurate orders.
• Take detailed customer orders and deliver food & beverage to guests.
• Be knowledgeable of the menu and make recommendations.
• Analyse guest insights to meet expectations and build loyalty.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments.
• Receive payments and balance cash drawer at close of shift.
• Identify upsell opportunities to enhance revenue.
• Serve to the standards set by the hotel and maintain mise-en-place.
