Client Server is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build scalable backend services for a fintech platform in Madrid.

The role emphasizes IaC, observability, and modern software engineering practices across the full SDLC. You will work with Azure, Terraform, and DataDog to deliver robust systems used by hedge funds and financial institutions.

Formación

• You have studied at a top university in Spain or globally with strong CS/math background.
• You are a technologist who collaborates and solves problems in distributed systems.
• You are proficient in C#, Python, TypeScript and backend tech.
• You have cloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
• You know Terraform and observability tools like DataDog for IaC and monitoring.
• You have solid CS fundamentals: OOP, data structures, patterns, algorithms.
• You are fluent in English.

Backend Software Engineer / Developer (C# .Net Python TypeScript) Madrid onsite to €120,000

Are you a technologist Software Engineer with a first class education looking for an opportunity to progress your career, working on complex and interesting systems in an impactful role?

You could be progressing your career at a scaling Fintech, building sophisticated software for the investment management industry. Partnering with leading Hedge Funds and financial institutions, the company is developing technology that combines modern software engineering with complex data, analytics and financial systems.

As a Backend Software Engineer you will collaborate with a small, talented team to deliver new features on the core trading platform with a focus on backend services and Infrastructure as Code within an Azure based environment. You'll take ownership of projects and see the results of your work quickly, collaborating with front office traders to provide the systems they need.

Location:

You will be based in Madrid on a fulltime basis (Monday to Friday).

About you:

• You have studied at a top 10 university in Spain (or top 200 globally) and have achieved 9.0 and above in Bachillerato and 7.0 and above in University - Computer Science or Mathematics preferred
• You're a technologist who enjoys collaborating and problem solving, working on complex, distributed systems
• You have expertise with modern backend software engineering, happy to work with C# .Net, Python, TypeScript and other backend technologies
• You have experience with public cloud platforms, Azure preferred but AWS or GCP also fine
• You have a good knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform, DevOps practices and observability e.g. DataDog
• You have a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices and have experience across the full software development lifecycle
• You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms
• You have fluent English language skills
