Formación

• Experience as a Data Scientist or Quantitative Developer.
• Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (OOP, Data Structures, Algorithms).
• MSc or PhD in relevant fields advantageous.

Data Scientist / Quantitative Developer (Python Maths) Madrid onsite to €150,000

Are you a mathematically minded, with a first class education and strong Python programming skills?

You could be progressing your career, working on complex and interesting systems at a FinTech scale-up, they have secure backing and an established Hedge Fund client as a partner.

As a Data Scientist within the Portfolio Strategy team, you'll focus on integrating the mathematical models built by Investment Quants, creating scalable, performant and supportable cross asset class applications including APIs, UIs and tools. You'll be mainly using backend Python and SQL.

There's an Agile, collaborative team environment with plenty of problem solving, learning opportunities and career development as the company scales.

Location:

You’ll be based in Madrid on a fulltime basis (Monday to Friday).

About you:

• You have studied at a top 10 university in Spain (or top 200 globally) and have achieved 9.0 and above in Bachillerato and 7.0 and above in University - Mathematics, Statistics preferred, MSc or PhD advantageous
• You have commercial experience in a Data Scientist or Quantitative Developer
• You have advanced Python programming skills
• You have a strong knowledge of SQL databases
• You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms
• You're entrepreneurial with good business acumen, keen to take ownership and lead projects
• You're collaborative, enjoy problem solving and sharing ideas
• You have fluent English language skills
