adesso Spain is seeking a skilled Backend Developer / DBA to join our international team and contribute to a mission-critical data platform that processes millions of transactions daily. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, SQL (PostgreSQL/AWS Aurora) and cloud-native AWS in a distributed, scalable environment.

You will collaborate with architects and senior engineers, participate in Agile sprints, and occasionally travel to Germany, while enjoying a Hybrid Work Model and a focus on

Formación

• Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and relational databases (PostgreSQL/AWS Aurora).
• Experience with database performance tuning and complex SQL queries.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and Kafka.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and high availability.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong English communication skills; German is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Optimize database performance through SQL tuning and database improvements.
• Design and implement backend solutions integrating Java applications and database systems.
• Maintain and upgrade Java and Spring Boot applications.
• Contribute to the evolution of a cloud-native platform running on AWS.
• Collaborate in the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions.
