We are currently expanding our team and looking for a Java Backend Engineer / IT Service Owner to join an international project focused on digital banking transformation. You will work in an agile, DevOps-oriented environment, designing and maintaining high-quality backend solutions that support secure, scalable, and efficient digital services.

You are the ideal candidate if you have...

• Solid experience in Java (8+) and Spring Boot development
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts, including CI / CD and automated testing
• Experience with enterprise-level application lifecycle management, including design, deployment, and operation
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and related technologies
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP web services, JMS / MQ, and relational databases (SQL / Oracle)
• Basic Linux shell scripting skills
• Fluent English to work in an international environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Collaborate in a cross‑functional agile team using a DevOps‑centric model
• Design, implement, deploy, release, and monitor backend applications
• Participate in planning, refinement, and code review sessions
• Work closely with Solution Architects to ensure alignment with the overall architecture vision
• Manage Level 3 (L3) support for incidents and service requests, ensuring SLAs are met
• Lead release activities, coordinating with upstream and downstream dependencies
• Perform audits, risk assessments, and manage IT security processes for services
• Support system architecture by identifying and maintaining technical debt items
