Задачи:

• Backend architecture: Understand, document, and keep the system architecture up to date. Identify opportunities for improvement, review technical designs, and help define how the different components should evolve.
• API development and maintenance: Work on existing APIs, improve how they function, identify inefficiencies, and ensure they are reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
• Performance optimization: Analyze latency, response times, database queries, and potential bottlenecks. Identify the slowest endpoints and propose solutions to improve performance.
• Monitoring and dashboards: Create and maintain dashboards that make it easy to view system health. Work with metrics such as latency, errors, request volume, database performance, and background processes.
• Code quality: Review and improve features after they are developed, simplify implementations, remove duplicated code, and reduce technical debt. Add tests to protect critical product flows.
• Reliability and incident resolution: Monitor production errors, work with tools such as Sentry, investigate problems, and take responsibility for ensuring incidents are resolved and do not happen again.
• Security: Identify potential vulnerabilities, review permissions and authorizations, ensure data isolation between customers, and maintain good security practices.
• Infrastructure and optimization: Oversee the operation and costs of infrastructure, databases, and related services. Identify opportunities to improve technical and economic efficiency.
• Continuous improvement: Proactively identify problems and opportunities for improvement. Do not wait to receive tasks: propose what to change, why to do it, and how to measure whether it worked.

Требования:

Training in Computer Engineering, Software Development, or equivalent experience. We also value self-taught profiles with personal projects and a strong technical foundation. Knowledge of or experience in backend development and API architecture. Understanding of how databases, servers, and backend systems work. Interest in software architecture, performance, and scalability. Curiosity about monitoring, observability, and technical metrics analysis. Ability to investigate problems, identify their source, and propose solutions. Analytical mindset and a problem-solving orientation. A high level of proactivity, autonomy, and ability to learn. Comfort working in dynamic environments where not everything is defined from the outset. Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions.

• You have experience working with Ruby on Rails;
• You have worked with other backend development languages or frameworks;
• You have experimented on your own initiative with tools such as Grafana, Sentry, or observability platforms;
• You have built dashboards or personal projects to monitor systems and analyze metrics;
• You have knowledge of databases, Redis, cloud infrastructure, or deployments;
• You have worked with CI/CD tools and test automation;
• You have experience optimizing APIs, database queries, or application performance;
• You have used artificial intelligence tools to improve development processes and productivity
