Capitole is seeking a Senior Back End Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design, develop and evolve the digital platform backend. You will work on business APIs, integrations, identity management, and cloud deployment on Microsoft Azure, primarily using Node.js and TypeScript in an API-driven, containerized environment.

Ideal candidates bring API-first design, domain-driven design, SOLID principles, and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenAPI.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in backend development with production systems.
• Experience building REST APIs and API-first design.
• Cloud deployment experience, preferably Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js/TypeScript, REST API patterns and security.

Capitole continues to grow - and we want you to be part of the journey! We are looking for a Senior Back End Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our amazing team. You will join the engineering team responsible for designing, developing and evolving the digital platform backend, including business APIs, integrations with corporate and third-party systems, identity management, data persistence and cloud deployment on Microsoft Azure. The role has direct responsibility for building scalable, secure and highly available backend services, working mainly with Node.js and TypeScript in an architecture based on APIs, containers, PostgreSQL, Redis and Azure.

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and develop secure, scalable, domain-oriented REST APIs.
• Implement the platform's business logic and functional rules.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and the definition of technical standards.
• Integrate the platform with internal corporate systems and third-party services through REST APIs.
• Develop adapters and integration components between different technology platforms.
• Implement resilience mechanisms: retries, circuit breakers, timeout management, rate limiting and caching.
• Participate in the analysis and design of API contracts.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms based on OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC) and JWT.
• Integrate the platform with corporate identity providers.
• Manage secrets and credentials using Azure Key Vault.
• Apply Secure by Design principles.
• Develop solutions deployed on Microsoft Azure.
• Participate in defining scalable, highly available cloud architectures.
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Participate in monitoring and resolving production incidents.
• Design relational data models on PostgreSQL.
• Optimize database queries and performance.
• Design caching strategies using Redis.
• Participate in scalability and high availability strategies.

• More than 5 years of experience in backend development.
• More than 3 years developing production solutions with Node.js.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Experience integrating corporate systems through APIs.
• Experience working in cloud environments.
• Node.js TypeScript Express.js and/or NestJS REST APIs OpenAPI / Swagger PostgreSQL Redis Git Service-oriented architectures.
• API-first design.
• Clean Architecture.
• SOLID principles.
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Designing integrations between systems.
• OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect (OIDC) JWT Identity and access management (IAM) Microsoft Azure Azure App Services.
