Job summary

Rakuten TV is seeking an experienced Content Licensing Manager to join the AVOD & FAST team focusing on the DACH region. You will drive content acquisition and channel carriage, negotiate with major studios and distributors, and onboard new FAST channels across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in content licensing, acquisition, or distribution, ideally within AVOD/FAST environments.
• Strong negotiation and deal-management skills, with experience across multiple territories.
• Excellent account management and relationship-building abilities with studios, distributors, and content partners.

Responsibilities

• Drive Content & Channel Strategy: Execute the content acquisition and FAST channel carriage strategy.
• Negotiate & Close Deals: Manage the full lifecycle of content licensing and/or FAST channel carriage agreements with studios, distributors, rights holders, and third-party FAST providers.
• Identify New Opportunities: Onboard locally relevant FAST channels and rightsholder distributors within the DACH market and beyond.
• Account Management: Build strong relationships with key partners and ensure smooth collaboration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Legal, Finance, BI, Programming, Marketing, Media Sales, and Operations to implement deals and meet obligations.
• Rights Management: Oversee complex content agreements including territories, languages, release windows, and rights exploitation.
