PLD Space in Elche, Spain, is seeking an Avionics Test Hardware Engineer to design, integrate and maintain hardware used to test avionics products across PCBAs, units, and subsystems.

This role transforms verification needs into robust, safe test hardware solutions, including EGSE, SCOEs, test benches, harnesses and interface panels, while coordinating with V&V, AIT and avionics teams.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Solid knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, interfaces and instrumentation.
• Experience with schematics, wiring diagrams, ICDs and technical docs.
• Knowledge of avionics interfaces, power interfaces, signal conditioning and electrical measurement techniques.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, loads, data acquisition).
• Strong grounding/shielding and safety principles; hardware integration and troubleshooting.

Responsabilidades

• Review verification needs and test specs to define hardware requirements.
• Translate needs into electrical/electronic test hardware requirements.
• Design avionics test hardware: EGSE, SCOEs, benches, harnesses, adapters.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs and manuals.
• Select electrical/electronic elements for test setups for safety and maintainability.
• Coordinate fabrication and modification with manufacturing or suppliers.
• Ensure correct connections and readiness of test hardware for operation.
• Perform bring-up, commissioning and validation of test hardware.
• Support test readiness and configuration baselines for execution.
• Maintain configuration control of design files and revisions.
• Support AIT/test teams during use and troubleshooting.
• Define preventive checks, calibration and maintenance schedules.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to standardization of test hardware.
