Strativ Group in Madrid is seeking a UAV Avionics and Systems Integration Engineer to own the integration between avionics, sensors, communications, power distribution and flight-control systems.

You will define hardware and system-level architecture, develop wiring diagrams, support ground and flight-testing campaigns, and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to meet technical and regulatory requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in UAV or aerospace systems engineering.
• Strong ability to define hardware or system architecture and interface specs.
• Fluent Spanish and English with good communication in multidisciplinary teams.

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a fast-growing European aerospace and defence technology company developing advanced unmanned aerial vehicles for mission-critical applications.

They are looking for a UAV Avionics and Systems Integration Engineer to take ownership of the integration between avionics, sensors, communications, power distribution, flight-control systems and wider aircraft subsystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the hardware and system-level architecture for advanced UAV platforms.
• Integrate avionics, sensors, communications, propulsion, power distribution, flight controls and payload systems.
• Develop clear system architecture, wiring and interconnection diagrams.
• Define electrical connections, signal routing and power-distribution requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, aerospace and software engineers to establish technical requirements and interface specifications.
• Support the physical assembly and integration of aircraft components and subsystems.
• Investigate and resolve component compatibility, wiring and integration issues.
• Create detailed work instructions for assembly, integration and testing activities.
• Document tooling requirements, safety precautions and quality checkpoints.
• Develop system-level test plans and validation procedures.
• Conduct functional, integration and environmental testing.
• Analyse test results and recommend design improvements.
• Support ground and flight-testing campaigns for UAV platforms.
• Prepare documentation required for flight approvals, operational clearances and regulatory submissions.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and other stakeholders where required.
• Maintain accurate system specifications, architecture documents, wiring diagrams, test reports and technical records.
• Support the preparation of user manuals and technical documentation.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional experience in UAV, aircraft or aerospace systems engineering.
• Strong experience defining hardware or system architecture.
• Practical knowledge of avionics, sensors, communications, electrical systems, signal routing and power distribution.
• Experience integrating complex hardware and software subsystems.
• Understanding of UAV airframes, propulsion systems and flight‑control architecture.
• Experience supporting aircraft assembly, integration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to produce and interpret system diagrams, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
• Experience developing test plans and conducting system-level verification and validation.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
