Job summary

Technica Engineering Spain in Vigo is seeking a Test Engineer to contribute to development and validation of our automotive network simulation toolchain. You will design and run tests, automate scenarios, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality.

The ideal candidate has strong Python or C/C++ skills, experience with CI/CD, Git/GitLab, and a passion for agile environments. Hybrid work and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in the automotive, telecoms, or software development industry.
• Engineering degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics, Automotive, or a related technical field.
• Good programming skills in Python, C++ and/or C.
• Experience or knowledge of software testing or development.
• Good understanding of network technologies and communication protocols, such as Ethernet and TCP/IP.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our internal simulation framework toolchain.
• Design, implement, and execute simulation scenarios for the validation of automotive network systems and communication technologies.
• Support the deployment and customization of simulation environments according to project and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated testing solutions, scripts, and validation tools using technologies such as Python and C/C++.
• Participate in network testing and validation activities, ensuring compliance with quality and performance requirements.
• Analyse test and simulation results, identify issues, and collaborate with technical teams to drive problem resolution.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and validation results.
• Contribute to the integration of testing and validation activities within CI/CD environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams following Agile/Scrum methodologies and actively contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Support customer projects involving network simulation, testing, and validation, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge automotive and telecommunications technologies.
