Citywire España in Madrid is seeking an ambitious Audience Development Executive to expand the network across Spain, connecting professional investors and wealth management audiences. You will produce engaging digital content, run exclusive events, and grow Citywire.es presence on social platforms.

This independent contractor role (autónomo / B2B) focuses on building relationships, gathering industry insights, and driving engagement across the Iberia market. Travel within Iberia may be required.

Formación

• Fluent in Spanish and English, with strong written and spoken communication.
• Experience in relationship building, media, or client-facing roles preferred.
• Creative storytelling across digital, written, and video formats.
• Interest in wealth management, investments, and markets.
• Highly organized with ability to manage schedules and deadlines.
• Proficient with Google Workspace and MS Office; basic video editing skills.
• Willingness to travel across Iberia for events.

Responsabilidades

• Meetings and video calls with professional investors to source ideas and nurture relationships.
• Produce articles, videos, and pieces for Citywire.es using audience insights.
• Manage invitations and host duties for events and roundtables.
• Showcase events, publications, and ratings to the reader base to drive engagement.
• Oversee Citywire Spain's social media presence and pitch ideas to expand reach.
• Research and analyze feedback to spark new projects.

We're looking for an ambitious and driven Audience Development Executive to join our team in Madrid.

In this exciting role, you'll be at the forefront of expanding Citywire's network across Spain, building trusted connections with professional investors and wealth management audiences. From uncovering key industry trends and producing engaging digital content to bringing top investors together for exclusive roundtables and flagship events, you'll play a key role in strengthening our presence across the Iberia market.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to build a successful career at the intersection of media, relationship building, and the financial services industry. You'll gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced environment, develop your journalistic and network‑building skills, and work directly on our Citywire Spain website (Citywire.es) and social platforms.

This is an independent contractor position (autónomo / B2B commercial agreement) and not a direct employment contract (contrato laboral).

What you’ll be doing:

• Conducting meetings and video calls with professional investors to gather ideas, discover trends, and nurture long‑term relationships across Spain.
• Producing articles, videos, and special journalistic pieces for Citywire.es using insights gathered directly from your audience network.
• Managing invitations and on‑site host duties for physical events and roundtables, bringing the right audiences together.
• Showcasing our events, publications, research, and ratings to our entire reader base to drive engagement.
• Helping manage Citywire Spain's social media presence (primarily LinkedIn) and proactively pitching ideas to expand our reach.
• Conducting research and analysing network feedback to spark new projects and internal initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

• Language Skills: Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) with strong communication across both languages.
• Client‑Facing Experience: Some experience or internships in relationship building, media, or client‑facing roles is preferred.
• Creative Storytelling: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a flair for creating engaging digital, written, and video content.
• Industry Curiosity: Knowledge of, or a genuine eagerness to learn about, wealth management, investment advisory, and financial markets.
• Organisation & Project Management: Highly organised and able to manage content schedules, event deadlines, and multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Technical & Social Savvy: Proficient with Google Workspace and MS Office, with familiarity in social media publishing tools or basic video editing applications.
• Flexibility: Willing and able to travel across the Iberia market as required for events and network meetings.
