Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Atmospheric Science Expert (AI Training) to develop rigorous climate-modeling problems that enable AI to reason at the highest scientific level. This remote hourly-contract role targets Masters and PhD specialists in atmospheric science.

You will design, solve, and review advanced problems in climate modeling, meteorology, and ecology; assess AI-generated reasoning for scientific accuracy; and collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to push the boundaries of AI

Who You Are

• Hold a Master's or PhD in Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, Climate Science, or a closely related field
• Experienced with Python or R for research, data analysis, or modeling
• Deep expertise in at least one of: climate modeling, atmospheric dynamics, ecology, or sustainability science
• Exceptionally strong written communicator — you can explain complex science clearly and precisely
• Detail-oriented and rigorous in your scientific reasoning
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation systems
• Background in scientific writing, peer review, or curriculum development
• Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts
• Experience working across interdisciplinary research environments
