A progressive medical device manufacturer in Barcelona seeks a dynamic Associate Clinical Specialist to engage with orthopedic surgeons and provide support during surgeries. The role involves demonstrating products, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and collaborating with the sales team. Candidates should have strong Spanish and English communication skills, and experience in the operating theater is a plus. Do you have a passion for the orthopedic clinical environment, and do you want to put your skills in motion with a progressive medical device manufacturer?

We are looking for a dynamic and resolute Associate Clinical Specialist that will enjoy engaging with orthopedic surgeons, understanding their needs, and building long‑lasting connections through a consultative sales approach.

You will join a newly established international team of territory managers looking to create and develop new markets across Europe through a close collaboration with our local sales team as well as departments based in our European Headquarters in the Netherlands, including sales management, product specialists and clinical education managers.

In this exciting field position you will spend roughly 80% of your time in the operation theater, and you will travel to visit Orthopedic centres in Spain where shoulder, hip surgeries are performed. To succeed, you will bring in a strong integrity, the confidence to engage in peer‑level conversations with surgeons, and excellent planning and organization skills.

This position has the internal title of Associate Territory Manager Ortho and reports to the Field Implementation Manager Horizon II.

Main Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate the use of our orthopedic products to surgeons, clinical staff and nurses, providing onsite and after‑sales support
  • Maintain and develop positive and strong relationships with key Orthopedic stakeholders and decision makers, including both clinical and non‑clinical leaders, associations, tender boards
  • Support the Territory Manager Ortho and collaborate with her/him to develop and manage strategic sales plan, and to implement events in the Orthopedic field
  • Work closely together with international colleagues in our European HQ as well as local sales teams
  • Develop in‑depth knowledge of relevant surgical procedures and products
  • Keep up with the latest clinical data and communicate this information to healthcare professionals
What you bring
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish
  • Fluent communication skills in English
  • Located in a well‑connected area, ideally in Barcelona
  • Able and willing to travel frequently across the country, spending on average (3‑4 days) in each target area
  • Experience in attending surgery in an operating theater can be an advantage, but is not strictly required
  • Higher education (university level) and experience with medical device products in sales will be considered a plus, but not necessary. Close enough?
