Job summary

La Casita de Ingles is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Madrid centers to support daily operations, supervise drop-off/pick-up, and help document classroom activities with photos and videos.

Requirements: native or near-native English (C2), at least 6 months' experience with children, a friendly, creative approach. Fixed-term contracts Oct–Jun in Vallecas and Alcobendas.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native English proficiency (C2 level) required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience teaching or working with children.
• Strong organizational and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily center operations and oversee student drop-off and pick-up.
• Capture photos and videos of classroom activities for records.
• Prepare crafts and flashcards and assist during teaching when needed.

Job description

Here at La Casita de Inglés, we believe that learning should be fun! We teach English to children through games, arts & crafts, singing and dancing, theatre, yoga and baking! Almost all of the planning is provided for you, with teachers only having to tailor some of the ideas provided to them related to the topic of the week (outer space, sports, science, food, mindfulness, music, nature, etc.) to their specific groups. We don’t carry out exams and only require teachers to fill out progress reports every trimester. Classes are small and interactive, with a maximum of 8 children per class in our after-school programme (although this number can occasionally reach a maximum of 10 if students need to make up on any given week).

Tasks

Two Locations:

• Alcobendas: P.º de Fuente Lucha, 20, 28100 Alcobendas, Madrid

• Ensanche de Vallecas: Embalse de Pinilla, 53, Bajo Local B, Villa de Vallecas, 28051 Madrid

VALLECAS - Schedule & Workload:

• Total Hours: 15 hours / week

• Tue, Thu, Fri: 17:00 – 19:30

• Wednesdays: 16:00 – 19:30

• Prep Time (4 hrs/week): Preparation time dedicated to organising class materials, crafts, and making flashcards for the upcoming week.

ALCOBENDAS - Schedule & Workload:

• Total Hours: 12 hours / week

• Monday-Thursday: 16:30-19:30

Role Overview:

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to support our center's daily operations. Key tasks include managing student drop-off and pick-up, capturing photos and videos of classroom activities, keeping rooms organised, preparing crafts and flashcards, and sporadically stepping in to teach if a regular teacher is absent and no substitute is available.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Profile: Fun, creative, and enthusiastic assistants who genuine love working with children.

• Language: Native or native-like English proficiency (C2 level or equivalent required).

• Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience teaching or working with children in a professional environment.

• Bonus: Prior experience in coordination, center assistance, or administrative support is a strong plus!

Benefits

VALLECAS - Compensation: €530 net / month (Fixed contract from October through June)

ALCOBENDAS - Compensation: €460 net / month (Fixed contract from October through June)
