Clyde & Co in Madrid is looking for a finance professional to handle monthly and annual tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy in reconciliations. The successful candidate will liaise with auditors, manage cash flows, and support accounts payable functions.

A degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is essential, along with strong English skills and experience in a tax compliance role, ideally within a law firm.

• Experience working with local tax, compliance, and audits.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Submitting monthly and annual TAX returns and reconciliations.
• Liaising with auditors for information during audit processes.
• Reconcile sub-ledger and general ledger transactions.
• Ensuring timely completion of relevant monthly control reconciliations.
• Creating and uploading weekly cash flows and liaising with Financial Control.
• Supporting Working Capital and Accounts Payable functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Submitting monthly and annual TAX returns to local authorities, including reconciliations (WHT, VAT, Corporation Tax, etc).
• Liaising with auditors regarding queries and information requested during interim and final audit processes.
• Reconcile sub-ledger and general ledger transactions.
• Ensuring that relevant monthly control reconciliations are completed on time and differences are investigated and resolved promptly.
• Responsible for creating and uploading weekly cash flows and liaising with the Financial Control team.
• Supporting Working Capital and Accounts Payable functions.
• Contribute to existing projects and identify areas for future improvement and development.
• Taking responsibility for completing or assisting with completion of relevant ad hoc finance queries as they occur from time to time.

Essential Skills & Experience

• A university degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
• Written and verbal English language skills essential.
• Experience working with local tax, compliance and audits.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Experience within a law firm or other professional services environment (desirable).
• Flexible and enthusiastic with the ability to manage own workload, priorities, and deadlines.
• High degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience working with 3E, Elite Enterprise, or a similar practice management system (preferred).
