ENGIE in Madrid seeks a Senior Asset Manager to maximize value across a renewable assets portfolio. You will lead asset management activities, drive budgets and plans, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with operations, finance, and legal teams to ensure performance and governance.

The role requires autonomy, strategic thinking and the ability to manage relationships with investors and authorities while supporting M&A and optimization initiatives.

Formación

  • University degree in Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Master's degree valued in energy/finance.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Asset Management or related areas.
  • Experience managing renewable energy assets (solar PV, wind, BESS).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • High level of autonomy and ownership.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills are valued.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the implementation of asset management best practices across the portfolio.
  • Own preparation, monitoring and optimization of budgets, forecasts and business plans.
  • Monitor operational, technical and financial performance of renewable assets; analyze KPIs.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives with Ops, O&M and Energy Management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, regulatory, HSE and governance requirements.
  • Manage relationships with investors, lenders, partners, advisors and authorities.
  • Coordinate SPV governance activities (boards, reporting, presentations).
  • Identify, assess and mitigate operational, financial and contractual risks.
  • Support M&A, refinancing, due diligence and integration activities when required.
  • Drive continuous improvement and asset optimization strategies.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members.

We are currently looking for an Senior Asset Manager for our headquarters in Madrid.

Mission

As a Senior Expert in Asset Management, your mission is to maximize the value, performance, and profitability of a portfolio of renewable energy assets throughout their lifecycle.

You will lead asset management activities across a portfolio of renewable assets, ensuring delivery of business plan objectives, financial performance, compliance obligations, and governance requirements. Working closely with Operations, Energy Management, Finance, Legal, Development and external stakeholders, you will identify value creation opportunities, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a high level of autonomy and ownership, acting as the key interface between internal and external stakeholders while supporting strategic decision-making and the long-term success of ENGIE's renewable energy portfolio.

Functions

  • Lead the implementation of asset management best practices across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with ENGIE standards, business objectives and shareholder expectations.
  • Own the preparation, monitoring and optimization of budgets, forecasts and business plans, proactively identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
  • Monitor operational, technical and financial performance of renewable assets, analysing KPIs, revenues, costs, production, availability and deviations against targets.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives in collaboration with Operations, O&M and Energy Management teams to maximize asset value and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, HSE and governance requirements, including financing agreements, PPAs, shareholder agreements and other project contracts.
  • Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, partners, advisors, authorities and service providers.
  • Coordinate SPV governance activities, including board meetings, shareholder reporting, approvals and management presentations.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate operational, financial and contractual risks affecting asset performance and business objectives.
  • Support M&A, refinancing, due diligence and integration activities when required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and asset optimization strategies, contributing to the long-term performance and value creation of the portfolio.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices across the Asset Management function.
  • University Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Energy, Electrical, Mining or similar), Economics, Business Administration or related disciplines.
  • Master's Degree in Energy Management, Renewable Energy, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent is highly valued.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Asset Management, Renewable Energy Operations, Energy Management, Project Finance or related areas.
  • Experience managing renewable energy assets (solar PV, wind and/or BESS projects).
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, energy markets and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience managing budgets, business plans, financial models and performance reporting.
  • Experience in contract management and stakeholder management, including investors, lenders, partners and service providers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • High level of autonomy and ownership.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills are valued.
