Position Overview
MS SHIFT is looking for an experienced AI Developer to help design, build, and integrate AI-powered features into our software platform. The ideal candidate has strong software development experience combined with hands-on experience building applications using LLMs, AI agents, APIs, and modern AI frameworks.
This is a hands-on development role for someone who can take an AI concept from idea to production.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-powered applications and features
- Build and integrate LLM-based solutions using OpenAI and other AI platforms
- Develop AI agents and automated workflows
- Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) using company and customer data
- Build secure integrations between AI services, databases, APIs, and existing applications
- Develop prompt workflows, tool/function calling, and structured AI outputs
- Work with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search
- Evaluate and improve AI response accuracy, reliability, and performance
- Implement guardrails, monitoring, logging, and error handling
- Optimize AI applications for performance, scalability, and cost
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to turn business requirements into production-ready AI features
- Research and evaluate new AI technologies and recommend practical applications
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with .NET CORE
- Hands‑on experience developing applications using LLMs and Generative AI
- Experience with OpenAI APIs or similar LLM platforms
- Experience building AI agents, RAG systems, embeddings, and vector search
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and third‑party integrations
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Strong understanding of software architecture, security, testing, and production deployment
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure OpenAI
- Experience with agent frameworks and orchestration tools
- Experience integrating AI into existing enterprise/SaaS applications
- Knowledge of C#/.NET is a strong plus
- Experience with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with document processing, OCR, image analysis, or multimodal AI
- Experience building enterprise search or internal knowledge assistants
- Understanding of AI security, privacy, permissions, and data governance
