ONLY STORES SPAIN is seeking an experienced Area Manager to drive performance across multiple stores in the Madrid region. You will lead Store Managers, develop high-performing teams and ensure excellent customer experience while delivering strong sales and operational excellence.

The role requires a hands-on, visible leader who can turn numbers into concrete actions and travel across the area to support stores and implementations. English is a must for cross-border collaboration.

AREA MANAGER (M/W/X)
Location: Madrid
Prerequisite: A good command of spoken and written English.

We are on an exciting growth journey in Spain and are looking for an experienced Area Manager who can drive performance across our existing stores while helping us build the foundation for future expansion.

Success in this role means developing strong teams, creating consistent commercial results and ensuring operational excellence across the area, enabling us to continue opening even more ONLY stores in Spain.

As Area Manager, you will be responsible for the performance and development of the ONLY stores in your area. You will work closely with our Store Managers and teams to drive sales, strengthen operations and ensure that our stores deliver a strong customer experience.

This is a hands-on role where we expect you to be present in the stores, understand the business behind the numbers and turn opportunities into concrete actions.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, coach and develop Store Managers and their teams
• Drive sales performance and profitability across your area
• Follow up on KPIs and translate performance into clear actions at store level
• Ensure strong daily operations and execution of company standards and routines
• Take ownership of staffing, people development and performance within your area
• Ensure efficient staff planning based on store traffic and business needs
• Work closely with Buying, Merchandising and Brand Management
• Ensure strong commercial and Visual Merchandising execution across stores
• Identify opportunities to improve store performance and take action
• Lead and support training and development initiatives
• Maintain a strong focus on customer experience and service
• Be actively present in the stores and close to the teams and customers
• Support and lead inventories and other key retail activities
• Develop and execute action plans for your area

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for an experienced retail leader with a strong commercial mindset and the ambition to make a difference.

• Minimum 3- 5 years of experience as an Area Manager, District Manager or in a comparable multi-store retail leadership role in Spain.
• Strong retail background; experience from fashion retail is highly preferred, but not essential
• Experience within Visual Merchandising is a clear advantage
• Proven ability to drive sales performance and operational excellence
• Strong leadership capabilities and experience developing Store Managers and retail teams
• Strong understanding of KPIs, numbers and the commercial drivers of a retail business
• Independent, proactive and comfortable taking ownership and making decisions
• Results-oriented with the ability to turn analysis into action
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ambitious and motivated by long-term development and growth
• Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
• Willing to travel as part of the role
• Open to onboarding and training abroad
• Available to start as soon as possible
• English is a must
