Overview

Our partner is a global digital publishing and content distribution platform, reaching millions of users worldwide through interactive reading experiences. They’re entering a new phase focused on AI and emerging technologies to redefine how digital content is created and consumed.

The Role

As Principal Product Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, working closely with the VP of Engineering to design and implement the architecture for next‑generation products and services. You’ll collaborate across engineering and product teams to bring new concepts to life, from early‑stage proofs of concept to production‑ready systems, while keeping an eye on performance, scalability, and long‑term vision.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the VP of Engineering to design architecture for new products and services.
• Explore and validate new technologies, including potential applications of AI and interactive content innovation.
• Work autonomously with strong DevOps support and freedom to choose technologies (Python, Go, etc.) as a senior engineer or architect with experience in both backend and frontend.

Qualifications

• Strong English level (written and spoken)
• Experience with AWS is essential.
• Passionate about AI, innovation, and emerging technologies, even if you haven’t led AI projects before.

Work Model

Hybrid work model: remote flexibility with at least one day per week onsite in Barcelona.
