A leading powertrain solutions company in Valladolid, Spain is seeking a Project Leader for engine development. You will oversee the project lifecycle ensuring that milestones and performance objectives are met. The ideal candidate should have a strong engineering background and skills in project coordination. Knowledge of the automotive sector and communication skills in English are essential for this role.

Formación

  • Proven track record in engine software/calibration and managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Excellent skills in project coordination and technical analysis/synthesis.
  • Knowledge of the automotive sector and Horse Powertrain business.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the development of the 1.2 GDI engine in alignment with new regulations.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from Start of Project to Start of Production.
  • Monitor and optimize engine performance metrics.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the development of the 1.2 GDI engine in alignment with new regulations and vehicle/platform adaptations.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from Start of Project to Start of Production, ensuring milestones and QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Performance) objectives are met.
  • Oversee the design, development, validation, and industrialization of engine hardware, software, and calibrations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across design, purchasing, manufacturing, supply chain, and performance.
  • Monitor and optimize engine performance metrics such as fuel efficiency, emissions, drivability, and NVH.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project development process.
  • Prepare and present decision-making reports to stakeholders.
  • Work in a hybrid model within a multicultural and international team.
What We’re Looking For
  • A proven track record in engine software/calibration and managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Engineering degree required; Master’s in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering preferred.
  • Excellent skills in project coordination and technical analysis/synthesis.
  • Strong competencies in leadership and client-oriented problem solving, with a collaborative approach.
  • Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; French is highly appreciated.
