Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Android Tech Lead to shape the architecture of a new Android experience, ensuring scalability and performance for millions of users. You will mentor engineers, establish best practices, and guide critical technical decisions alongside backend and design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of Android development with lead or principal experience.
• Mastery of Kotlin, Coroutines, and Flow.
• Proven track record of defining mobile architecture for large-scale apps.
• Experience with GCP interactions or mobile-backend integration strategies.
• Ability to drive technical consensus and mentor engineers.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit and UI test suites.

Responsibilities

• Establish architectural patterns and best practices for a new Android implementation.
• Mentor and onboard engineers to minimize ramp-up time.
• Architect complex Android solutions with deep knowledge of Android and networking.
• Lead mobile architecture decisions and integration strategies.
• Align mobile implementation with established standards with Distinguished Engineers.
• Oversee design system implementation across Android codebase.
