Backbase seeks a Senior Applied AI Software Engineer (Android) to anchor our mobile identity and banking SDKs. You will lead AI-native development, architect scalable Android SDKs with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and own end-to-end mobile capabilities from data security to CI/CD.

You will mentor engineers, enforce best practices, and raise quality with automated tests and performance profiling. Strong Android expertise and AI tooling experience are required.

Formación

• 5 to 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with native Android.
• Advanced mastery of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and clean architecture.
• Experience building modular Android SDKs used by external teams.
• Active, hands-on production use of AI-driven developer tooling or agentic workflows.
• Strong knowledge of mobile CI/CD automation tools and non-functional requirements.

Responsabilidades

• AI-Native Mobile Leadership: drive AI tooling and prompt workflows into the mobile lifecycle.
• Core Mobile & SDK Architecture: design scalable Android SDKs, libraries and modular components.
• Full-Lifecycle Ownership: manage data, security layers, backend integrations, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Quality & Testing Champion: enforce automated testing targets and performance profiling.
• Mentorship & Standard Setting: mentor peers and establish engineering standards across the team.
