Luxoft Spain is seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to join a dedicated in-vehicle infotainment project in Barcelona. You will develop and enhance SystemUI and Homescreen components within the Android Automotive stack, collaborating with system engineers, designers, and QA.

The role requires strong Kotlin/Java expertise, Android architecture knowledge, and hands-on experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git. Occasional visits to client offices in Barcelona are part of the role.

Formación

• Experience with Kotlin and Java; strong familiarity with the Android SDK.
• Android Architecture Components: Lifecycle and ViewModel; MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Understanding of Android system aspects: process lifecycle, memory management, app sandboxing, and security fundamentals.
• Log analysis with logcat, performance profiling, and debugging tools.
• Hands-on with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git.
• Familiarity with Linux internals, shell operations, and embedded device concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system and app issues methodically.
• Ability to understand platform-specific constraints and requirements.
• Spanish language communication skills.
• Willingness to visit client offices in Barcelona multiple times a month.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate within an end-to-end team with system engineers, product owners, designers, backend teams, and QA.
• Implement, test, and refine new features for the existing Android Automotive application stack.
• Work with Product Managers and UI/UX designers to translate requirements into technical solutions that integrate with the current architecture.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects, bugs, and performance issues promptly.
• Maintain and enhance codebase health through regular refactoring and optimization.
