Job summary

Scrambly is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to build and run the data platform behind the commercial side of Scrambly, turning raw events and advertiser data into trusted tables used to size opportunities and inform decisions.

You will join an early data team, collaborate with the Head of Data, Data Scientists, Backend, and commercial teams, and shape the data function with ownership and growth opportunities aligned to your experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering or related role with pipelines in production.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills, comfortable with complex logic.
• Ability to translate commercial questions into measurable metrics and actions.
• Experience with Google Cloud is preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable with equivalent tools.
• Proficiency in Python and version control with code review processes.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain analytical pipelines in Dataform on BigQuery.
• Analyze commercial questions and design rules to support decisions.
• Take ownership of existing pipelines and keep them running in production.
• Add testing, assertions, and alerts to ensure data trustworthiness.
• Improve warehouse cost, performance, and reduce duplication.
• Collaborate with Head of Data, Data Scientists, Backend, UA, and Account Management.
