Qaracter - Beyond your Challenge is seeking a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst to evolve a mission-critical financial messaging platform built on event-driven microservices. You will translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, working with Business, Architecture, Development, QA and DevOps.

Formación

• Minimum 4 years as BA/Functional Analyst in IT projects.
• Experience in banking/financial services or financial systems preferred.
• Hands-on with Generative AI technologies in software delivery.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and LLMs.
• Good Java and Spring Boot background for backend solutions.
• Fluent English (C1).

Responsabilidades

• Work closely with Business, Architecture, Development, QA, DevOps, and other technology teams, bridging between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, translating them into actionable solution definitions.
• Define functional specifications, solution behavior, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with development teams to support backend solutions based on Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to the design of scalable, reliable, and secure solutions aligned with Santander CIB's technology standards.
• Validate functional designs and coordinate requirements across business and technical stakeholders.
• Support and coordinate testing and acceptance activities.
• Leverage Generative AI to accelerate requirements analysis, transform business needs into technical specifications, improve documentation, support test design, and identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and solution quality.
• Promote best practices in requirements management, functional analysis, documentation, and solution delivery.

Business Analyst / Functional Analyst

The role focuses on the evolution of a mission-critical financial messaging platform, based on event-driven microservices architectures, translating business needs into clear functional and technical solution definitions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Business, Architecture, Development, QA, DevOps, and other technology teams, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams.


• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, ensuring they are clearly translated into actionable solution definitions.


• Define functional specifications, solution behavior, business rules, and acceptance criteria.


• Collaborate closely with development teams to support the implementation of backend solutions based on Java and Spring Boot.


• Contribute to the design of scalable, reliable, and secure solutions aligned with Santander CIB's technology standards and strategic objectives.


• Validate functional designs and coordinate requirements across business and technical stakeholders.


• Support and coordinate testing and acceptance activities, ensuring delivered solutions meet functional, quality, and business expectations.


• Leverage Generative AI to accelerate requirements analysis, transform business needs into technical specifications, improve documentation, support test design, and identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and solution quality.


• Promote best practices in requirements management, functional analysis, documentation, and solution delivery.

Mandatory Skills

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst within IT projects.


• Previous experience in banking, financial services, or financial systems is highly preferred.


• Practical experience with Generative AI technologies and their application throughout the software delivery lifecycle.


• Experience using AI-powered development assistants, Prompt Engineering techniques, and Large Language Models (LLMs).


• Good understanding of Java and Spring Boot environments and backend solution delivery.


• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders in complex technology environments.


• Advanced English – C1 minimum.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Devin, Cursor, or similar solutions.


• Experience working on banking, payments, financial messaging, or capital markets platforms.


• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and microservices.


• Experience defining test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and supporting UAT / functional testing.


• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
