The Reina Sofía School of Music is inviting applications for an Alexander Technique Professor. The post will be coordinated with the current Alexander Technique Professor and taught as a lecturer for the optional module within the Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Artistic Education in Music, 3 ECTS.

Responsibilities include approximately 100 hours per academic year, assessments, and signing official grades. Interviews and auditions will be held on dates announced for September 2026.

Formación

• Official higher education degree(s) in music education.
• Alexander Technique Teacher Diploma.
• Current membership in an international Alexander Technique teachers’ association.

Responsabilidades

• Teach the Alexander Technique within the Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Artistic Education in Music (3 ECTS).
• Coordinate with the existing Alexander Technique Professor for the module.
• Provide written assessments and grades on educational progress (quarterly).
• Guide students in posture, breathing, and psychophysical coordination during performance.
