  • Maintain continuous radio watch on assigned frequencies, using clear, concise RTF and approved ICAO phraseology at all times.
  • Apply standard operating procedures (SOPs), contingency and emergency procedures for system failures, degraded operations, adverse weather and other defined scenarios.
  • Coordinate with adjacent ATS units (e.g. APP / ACC), airport operations, handling, maintenance and emergency services to ensure safe, efficient and predictable operations.
  • Complete operational logs, incident reports, safety and quality records and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Contribute to the implementation and improvement of local procedures, systems and tools, providing feedback from an operational perspective.
  • Support the Safety Management System (SMS) by identifying hazards, reporting occurrences and participating in safety and operational improvement activities.

  • Valid aerodrome / tower rating (ADI / ADV or equivalent) and associated endorsements.
  • Valid ATCO class medical certificate in accordance with European and national requirements.
  • ICAO English language proficiency level 4 or higher; fluent Spanish for coordination with airport services and national stakeholders is a strong asset.
  • Ideally 1–2+ years of experience as a tower / aerodrome controller; experience in regional, private or mixed‑traffic environments (commercial, general aviation, business jets, flight schools, etc.) is highly valued.
  • Strong safety mindset and rigorous adherence to procedures in a highly regulated, audited environment.
  • Excellent concentration, situational awareness and sound decision‑making under pressure and during periods of high workload.
  • Clear, assertive and concise communication skills, both on the radio and face‑to‑face.
  • Team‑oriented attitude and the ability to collaborate in a small, multidisciplinary tower and airport operations team.
  • Eligibility to work in the European Union and the ability to maintain all required licences, ratings, language endorsements and medical certificates.

  • A unique workplace at airport in Jerez de la Frontera, combining demanding operations with excellent quality of life in Southern Spain (climate, lifestyle and surroundings).
  • Structured shift patterns in a stable operation, with clear procedures and a strong safety culture.
  • Location & working conditions: Jerez de la Frontera Airport (Cádiz, Spain).
  • Shift‑based role, including early, late and night shifts, weekends and public holidays, in line with the airport’s operating hours and applicable regulations on duty and rest periods.
