Are you a licensed Air Traffic Controller looking for a new challenge in a dynamic airport environment? As the Air Traffic Services (ATS) provider at an airport in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz, Spain), we are looking for an ATCO to ensure safe, orderly and efficient traffic flows over Southern Spain. ✈️ Your mission / What you’ll do
- Provide aerodrome / tower ATS, managing arrivals, departures and ground movements in accordance with applicable procedures and separation minima.
- Monitor traffic, weather and the overall operational picture, maintaining high situational awareness and anticipating potential conflicts.
- Maintain continuous radio watch on assigned frequencies, using clear, concise RTF and approved ICAO phraseology at all times.
- Apply standard operating procedures (SOPs), contingency and emergency procedures for system failures, degraded operations, adverse weather and other defined scenarios.
- Coordinate with adjacent ATS units (e.g. APP / ACC), airport operations, handling, maintenance and emergency services to ensure safe, efficient and predictable operations.
- Complete operational logs, incident reports, safety and quality records and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Contribute to the implementation and improvement of local procedures, systems and tools, providing feedback from an operational perspective.
- Support the Safety Management System (SMS) by identifying hazards, reporting occurrences and participating in safety and operational improvement activities.
🧠 What you bring
- Valid Air Traffic Controller Licence issued by an EASA‑compliant authority.
- Valid aerodrome / tower rating (ADI / ADV or equivalent) and associated endorsements.
- Valid ATCO class medical certificate in accordance with European and national requirements.
- ICAO English language proficiency level 4 or higher; fluent Spanish for coordination with airport services and national stakeholders is a strong asset.
- Ideally 1–2+ years of experience as a tower / aerodrome controller; experience in regional, private or mixed‑traffic environments (commercial, general aviation, business jets, flight schools, etc.) is highly valued.
- Strong safety mindset and rigorous adherence to procedures in a highly regulated, audited environment.
- Excellent concentration, situational awareness and sound decision‑making under pressure and during periods of high workload.
- Clear, assertive and concise communication skills, both on the radio and face‑to‑face.
- Team‑oriented attitude and the ability to collaborate in a small, multidisciplinary tower and airport operations team.
- Eligibility to work in the European Union and the ability to maintain all required licences, ratings, language endorsements and medical certificates.
