Job summary

Allianz Technology in Barcelona is seeking an AI Platform Engineer who will own the platform runtime, governance, and developer experience enabling AI use cases across the group. You will shape standards, run Kubernetes-based services, and ensure safety and FinOps alignment.

You will partner with AI gateways, hyperscalers, and domain teams to improve observability, scalability, and cost efficiency, delivering reliable platform services across regions; fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and operating AI or developer platforms at scale.
• Experience in regulated or large-scale environments (banking, SaaS, tech).
• Hands-on platform builder with enablement mindset.
• Strong cloud-native infra knowledge and DevOps skills.
• Fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the AI platform runtime and governance.
• Provide plug-and-play surface for AI FinOps, quotas, usage metering, and safety guardrails.
• Define and maintain platform standards and tool landscape.
• Implement observability, SLOs, cost instrumentation, and incident response.
• Collaborate with AI Gateway, hyperscalers, and frontier labs for features.
• Drive scalability, reliability, and cost across regions; plan capacity and releases.
