Job summary

WeHunt in Barcelona is seeking an AI Research Engineer (PhD required) to bring cutting-edge AI research into real products at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. You will design and productionize AI components to detect and stop attacks on AI agent systems in enterprise environments.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to turn research into practical solutions, publish technical articles, and stay at the frontier by evaluating new research.

Qualifications

• PhD in AI, ML, NLP, CS or closely related field.
• Strong research track record with publications, patents, or significant contributions.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Hacker mindset: prototype, experiment, and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design and bring to production the AI components that detect and stop attacks against AI agent systems in enterprise environments.
• Design and implement novel AI-based components within the platform using NLP, LLMs, and generative AI in production systems.
• Lead fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment experiments for advanced models.
• Develop efficient pipelines for large-scale data and model training.

Its platform enables large organizations to secure AI agent systems, covering both exposure management and runtime security. We are looking for an AI Research Engineer (PhD required) to bring cutting-edge AI research into real products, at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

• Design and bring to production the AI components that make it possible to detect and stop attacks against artificial intelligence agent systems in enterprise environments.
• Design and implement novel AI-based components within the platform, applying state-of-the-art research in NLP, LLMs, and generative AI to production systems.
• Lead fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment experiments for advanced models.
• Develop efficient pipelines for large-scale data and model training.
• Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to turn research into practical solutions.
• Publish technical articles and internal papers, and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
• Stay at the frontier of the field, evaluating new research and integrating relevant findings.
• PhD in AI, Machine Learning, NLP, Computer Science, or a closely related field. PhDs in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering are also valid if the research focused on models, optimization, or applied statistics.
• Strong research track record in AI/ML (NLP, generative AI, or similar), with publications, patents, or significant contributions to the field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Solid foundation in algorithms, optimization, and applied statistics.
