Job summary

JobServe Ltd is seeking an AI Engineer/Forward Deployed Engineer in Madrid for a 12-month contract, with around four days on-site per week. The role focuses on bringing AI capabilities into production and working closely with the client to deliver robust tooling and evaluation.

You will collaborate across engineering, data science and business teams, implementing LLM workflows, evaluation, observability and tooling within the client’s systems and data environments.

Qualifications

• Strong software or ML engineering background.
• Recent experience building and evaluating LLM systems in production.
• Experience with RAG, agents, tool use and LLM evaluation.
• Excellent English communication; Spanish ideally.
• Financial Services experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

AI Engineer/Forward Deployed Engineer (Contract)

Madrid (4 days per week on-site)

€500 - 700 per day

12 month contract

A leading consultancy specialising in AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to support the delivery of a key strategic programme with a large Financial Institution in Madrid. The Forward Deployed Engineer will sit directly with the client and help take their AI capabilities into production. It's a fairly hands-on role, working across engineering, data science and business teams to integrate LLM evaluation and quality tooling into their existing systems, data and AI workflows.

The successful AI Engineer/Forward Deployed Engineer will have;

• Strong software or ML Engineer background


• Recent experience building and evaluating LLM systems in production.


• Experience around RAG, agents, tool use, LLM evaluation, observability or tracing would be relevant. In particular experience performing detailed evaluations on existing AI systems is relevant.


• Excellent communication in English (and Spanish ideally), comfortable working directly with stakeholders and getting into the detail of systems.


• Financial Services experience is a strong desirable

This role is based in Madrid, Spain, and would require around 4 days per week on site. The contract is for a period of 12 months initially, paying €500 - 700 per day (depending on experience).
