Extia in Barcelona is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI Agents and automation solutions that streamline business processes across the organization.

You will collaborate with international stakeholders, requiring fluent Spanish and English (C1+). You’ll contribute to the company’s AI Community of Practice and stay at the forefront of Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic frameworks.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience as an AI Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on with AI agents and automated workflows.
• Fluent English and native Spanish for international collaboration.

• Strong integration of AI solutions into business processes.

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer with strong knowledge of LLMs, AI Agents, and Automation to design, develop, and deploy intelligent solutions that automate business processes across the organization.

This role will focus on creating AI agents capable of handling tasks ranging from small operational workflows to large-scale business process automation, such as automated order validation and other critical business functions.

The position requires close collaboration with international stakeholders, making strong English communication skills essential alongside fluent Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI Agents using modern AI technologies and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Build automation solutions that improve operational efficiency across multiple business areas.
• Develop AI-driven workflows capable of automating both simple operational tasks and complex business processes.
• Optimize and evaluate AI models, prompt performance, and agent frameworks for production environment readiness.
• Collaborate closely with international teams and stakeholders in English.
• Participate in the company's AI Community of Practice and contribute to defining internal AI best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI frameworks.

Requirements

Must-Have:

• 3+ years of experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar technical role.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI Agents and automated workflows.
• Languages: Native/Fluent Spanish (primary working language) AND Fluent English (minimum C1 level, required for international meetings, negotiations, and stakeholder interaction).
• Strong understanding of:
• Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, LlamaIndex)
• AI Automation & API Integration
• Engineering & Business Integration: Experience integrating AI solutions into real-world business processes and backend systems.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and autonomy.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate).
• Knowledge of AI governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience with cloud-based AI services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Previous active participation in AI Communities of Practice.
