Job summary

Xe7 Limited is seeking a Data Enablement Engineer to design, build, and operate trusted datasets, semantic models, and embedded AI experiences on our data platform. You will focus on data foundation, semantic layers, and governed data products to enable natural-language analytics for Finance users.

You will engineer ETL/ELT pipelines and implement governance in regulated environments, collaborating with business stakeholders to translate domain needs into scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on data engineering on cloud data platforms — Databricks demonstrated in real project delivery.
• Direct hands-on experience with Databricks Genie in production or advanced pilots, with Cortex Analyst / Search / Agents / LLM Functions or Genie spaces with semantic models.
• Semantic layer / trusted data product delivery — governed datasets with KPI definitions and business glossary alignment.
• dbt, PySpark, Snowpark, SQL, Python — strong across the modern data stack.
• Orchestration with Airflow, Databricks Workflows, or equivalent.
• Data governance in regulated environments — RBAC, RLS, masking, lineage, auditability.
• Experience integrating structured and unstructured data into AI-enablement workflows across sources

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-ready data products on Databricks with trusted datasets and semantic alignment.
• Implement semantic layers and governed datasets supporting BI and natural-language querying.
• Deploy and operate Databricks Genie spaces with Unity Catalog and tune for accuracy and adoption.
• Build RAG pipelines and conversational analytics apps grounded in governed data.
• Engineer robust ETL/ELT pipelines (dbt, Airflow, Snowpark, PySpark) to maintain trusted data.
• Implement data governance — RBAC, row/column security, masking, lineage, catalog management — in regulated contexts.
• Optimize cost and performance on data platform and AI sides, including token usage and caching.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to translate domain requirements into semantic models and data products
